For more than twenty years, Gloria has devoted her life to public service as a legislative Chief of Staff, election official substitute teacher and fierce community advocate.
Having worked on issues dealing with the Port, Del Mar, Texas A&M, local commerce, industry and las colonias, Gloria knows how to make government serve you more effectively.
Gloria wants to put her record of leadership to work on Nueces County Commissioners Court and provide a strong voice for the citizens of Precinct 2 from Corpus Christi to Agua Dulce, Bishop, Banquete and Petronila.
Today, when our families are pinching pennies and trimming budgets, we need leaders who are accountable for each and every tax dollar. Gloria believes in basic government and supports a budget that’s lean not mean. She’ll make the most of every dollar in the County’s $127 million budget.
A grandmother of three, Gloria brings a fresh, open perspective to Commissioners Court. She has the experience to fight for effective, efficient, and responsive county government.
Gloria Caceres loves Nueces County and is committed to helping all its people meet the challenges they face. From humble beginnings she has worked to break barriers and build bridges for a better community. A strong, energetic leader, Gloria personifies hard work, accountability and results.
Gloria is married to Armando Caceres, a retired firefighter, union president, and community volunteer. She has two children, Andrew and Melissa; and three grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, and John Luke.
